We use the Malaysian Tapir as the white patches look like a baby diaper! We also want it as our logo as we are based in Singapore and this particular breed of Tapir ties in with our South East Asian Identity.
In Japanese folk lore, Tapirs (called baku) are the nightmare eaters for children. A child having a nightmare would call out "baku baku eat my dream" and it was common for parents to up drawings of tapirs next to a child to make them feel safe.
In the same way, we endeavor to take the nightmare away from children and parents by having a reliable and functional formulas for our skincare-creating a ritual for a fun beautiful bath time.
